Join a well renowned, government-owned corporation in the Energy sector who are seeking a Diesel Mechanic
to join their team in Alice Springs
on a short term basis with the option for long term work. You’ll provide invaluable technical expertise in mechanical maintenance. Your role will encompass both preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of critical equipment.

- 3-month contract (permanent options available if desired)
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) processes and procedures
- Maintain gas/diesel reciprocating engines and electricity generation equipment
- Investigate critical plant incidents and complete technical reports
- Follow manufacturer's maintenance procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and participate in housekeeping duties
- Contribute to on-call roster and travel to other stations
- Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Mechanic trade qualifications with equivalent technical work experience on large reciprocating engines
- Valid NT Driver's Licence or equivalent.
- Experience in maintaining gas/diesel reciprocating engines.
- Ability to perform detailed fault-finding on industrial gas turbines and large reciprocating engines
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedure
